F.A.Q Gîtes

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to bring my own sheets and towels to stay in a gîte?

All linen is provided: sheets, shower towels and tea towels whatever the length of your stay. The bed is made on your arrival.

Can we arrive when we want?

In order to welcome you in the best conditions the time slot for the reception is between 17:30 and 20:00. This allows me to prepare the gite for you after the departure of the previous tenants. The cleaning and sanitary measures are reinforced, so it takes me a certain amount of time, not to mention all the tasks that I do alone. In quieter periods, we can consider an earlier arrival. We will have agreed on this beforehand.

Are there any outdoor spaces for the gîtes?

Yes, each gite has a private terrace with furniture for dining and lounging. You can also enjoy the large garden of the property.

Are pets allowed in the gîtes?

No. No matter how small, cute, well-behaved they may be, for the respect of all and for hygienic reasons, we do not welcome animals in our accommodations.

Is it easy to park near the gîtes?

Yes, you will park in the courtyard of the property for free almost in front of your door.

Are there any shops in the village?

In Nonant, you can visit the store of the goat farm. You will find the wonderful artisanal goat cheese as well as vegetables from an organic producer, and some other regional products from small local producers. In a nearby village, you can buy cider, apple juice, calvados and other apple delicacies. The orchards are just behind our garden. All other shops are less than 10 minutes away in Bayeux. As well as doctors, pharmacists and hospital.

Can we cook in the gîtes?

The cottages are equipped with a real kitchen with hotplates, oven, microwave and all the necessary utensils to concoct good dishes and taste the seafood brought back from the market or from local producers.

What is the minimum length of stay?

The gîtes are open for rent all year round. In July and August, the minimum stay is one week (7 nights). The rest of the year, the minimum stay is 2 nights depending on the period. Do not hesitate to contact me about this.

Is it possible to have breakfast in gites?

The breakfast is an optional service that I propose to you on reservation for the short stays (except July/August), at the rate of 12€ per person and per day. I leave a nice basket discreetly in front of your door in the morning.
